4-3-3 Holding in FC Mobile
A back four, one holding midfielder, a lone striker. Width comes from the wingers. The holding version of the 4-3-3 is its own entry in Manager Mode, with its own positions. The game tags it Defensive, Control.

What 4-3-3 Holding is good at
- One holding midfielder gives a clear anchor to recycle possession and cover for forward-running full-backs.
- Wingers hold the touchline and stretch the opposing back line, so the centre of the pitch opens up for runs.
- One striker keeps the rest of the team compact and gives the midfield a clear target to feed.
- A striker flanked by two wingers is the classic front three: cut in from the wings or cross for the middle.
- A flat back four of two centre-backs and two full-backs is the standard defensive block and suits an offside trap.
Where it is weak
- A lone striker is easy to double-mark, and an isolated number 9 can switch the attack off.
