4-5-1 Flat in FC Mobile
A back four, a lone striker. Width comes from the wide midfielders. The flat version of the 4-5-1 is its own entry in Manager Mode, with its own positions. The game tags it Defensive.

What 4-5-1 Flat is good at
- Three central midfielders give an even spread across the middle and win most second balls.
- Four players in the midfield line outnumber most opposing midfields.
- Wide midfielders work both ways on the flank, supplying crosses and tracking back.
- One striker keeps the rest of the team compact and gives the midfield a clear target to feed.
- A flat back four of two centre-backs and two full-backs is the standard defensive block and suits an offside trap.
Where it is weak
- No holding midfielder: only two centre-backs sit in front of the keeper, so a quick through ball splits them.
- Nobody is dedicated to shielding the back line, so counters run straight at the centre-backs.
- Wide midfielders are not natural finishers, so the goals have to come from the striker(s) and the runners from midfield.
- A lone striker is easy to double-mark, and an isolated number 9 can switch the attack off.
