4-5-1 in FC Mobile
A back four, two attacking midfielders, a lone striker. Width comes from the wide midfielders. This is the standard 4-5-1 entry in Manager Mode. The game tags it Defensive.
The 11 positions
- Goalkeeper (GK)
- Left back (LB)
- 2 x Centre-back (CB)
- Right back (RB)
- Left midfielder (LM)
- Central midfielder (CM)
- 2 x Attacking midfielder (CAM)
- Right midfielder (RM)
- Striker (ST)
What 4-5-1 is good at
- Two attacking midfielders behind the front line create overloads between the lines and chances from the edge of the box.
- Wide midfielders work both ways on the flank, supplying crosses and tracking back.
- One striker keeps the rest of the team compact and gives the midfield a clear target to feed.
- A flat back four of two centre-backs and two full-backs is the standard defensive block and suits an offside trap.
Where it is weak
- No holding midfielder: only two centre-backs sit in front of the keeper, so a quick through ball splits them.
- Wide midfielders are not natural finishers, so the goals have to come from the striker(s) and the runners from midfield.
- A lone striker is easy to double-mark, and an isolated number 9 can switch the attack off.

Build Up
| Setting | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | 1 | the shape is built on midfield numbers, not sprinters: build patiently |
| Passing Distance | 1 | short passes through the middle, where this shape has its numbers |
| Mentality | Defensive | a defensive tag or a back five: protect it |
| Positioning | Organised | keep the shape; the lanes are already set |
Offence
| Setting | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Passing Tendency | 1 | three central midfielders: go direct rather than recycle |
| Cross Tendency | 2 | one target in the box |
| Shooting Tendency | 3 | several number 10s can shoot from distance |
| Positioning | Organised | stick to lanes for cleaner counters |
Defence
| Setting | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure | 1 | sit off and counter |
| Width | 1 | stay compact and force play wide |
| Aggression | 2 | raise to 3 only if the back line wins tackles |
| Back Line | Cover | stay deep and recover |
